Take Grandma and Grandpa around the world this Grandparent's Day at Como Park Zoo & Conservatory. On September 11 & 12 Como Park Zoo & Conservatory will celebrate National Grandparent's Day (September 12) with a weekend full of Safari themed activities. Special events and performances will welcome, educate, and entertain all ages, all weekend. Travel throughout the zoo buildings with your special passport as you learn about Como's animals and their different environments. Don't miss the special activities that include a craft inspired by the Beads for Life program, interactive story time readings of "Giraffes Can't Dance," and a game that will take you around the world right in the lobby of the Visitor Center. The chefs of Zobata Café will be preparing special African dishes for the weekend. The weekend also features The Eyieunoto Nabaya Maasai Warriors dance group direct from Kenya. This dance group performs around the world as part of the organization "Villages Make Over" which Work to improve the living standards of communities in Kenya. Display their cultural history of music features, dance and drama and a little wisdom and cultural experiences.
